Thank you to those who were able to attend the parent meeting tonight. We were able to accomplish a lot!
The boys have completed most of the activities in the Tiger Cub Handbook that we do during our den meetings. We will repeat some of them for those who missed them.
Please work with your Scout to complete the family requirements in your Tiger Cub Handbook. Be sure to note the date you completed it by signing the Akela’s signature in your book.
The remaining requirements all involve us going somewhere as a den.
Go See It planning:
• Steve Weed will be planning Requirement 1G, “Visit historical place”. Possibly Manhattan Beach historical society at Pollywog – and possibly a picnic at the same time (elective).
• Adam Silver will be planning Requirement 2G, “Fire Station visit”. He is working with his friends to arrange this.
• Glendee Madden will be planning Requirement 5G, “Den hike”. Possibly Wilderness park off Prospect and Camino Real in South Redondo. Possibly a picnic at the same time (elective) and playing outdoor games (elective)
Look for emails about possible dates and times from these volunteers. These are requirements in order to receive their Tiger Cub Badge, so please Do Your Best to attend these outings.
Opportunities to help…We Need YOU!
• We need a volunteer for Requirement 3G, which is to learn about a sport and go to a game (high school is fine; Badminton? Tennis? Anyone?)
• We need a volunteer for Requirement 4G, which is to visit a radio, television, or newspaper (beach reporter may be closest; Daily Breeze is nearby, too)
